Thanks. I do not literally mean that Uniface does not provide any logging, but it was just working for two days and reaching to no point adds to some frustration.

Other than ioprint, I even used, trc_start, but it was not of much help.

Try messing up with .compuware directory permissions and run userver. If you find anything useful in Urouter or Userver logs, that will be great

Uniface does provide error logging, including urouter and userver. Take a look at $ioprint in the help. It is also very easy to debug a Uniface server process. Contact Uniface.training@Compuware.com for assistance.

Well guess what, the stuff which I figured out on my own, was posted as a solution on IBM website. My googling habits are getting weak. Any ways I got a great insight in the code.

Starting with TSM API 5.3, a writable log file is now required. If the log file cannot be written, the TSM API setup/initialization will fail with an RC 106 “Denied due to improper permissions” (rc=DSM_RC_ACCESS_DENIED).
The TSM API option ‘errorlogname’ (specified in the ../api//dsm.sys) has the highest precedence in setting the TSM API logging location. If this option is set, ensure that both the directory and file name specified with errorlogname are read/writable by the OS user running the application

Recently I slurp (Yahoo search engine Crawler) the net and find it that, qlogic 2460 drivers are natively supported in RHEL 4, starting from 4.2

Here what it says,

“The QLogic 2460 was supported starting with the qla2xxx driver
8.01.02-d4 in RHEL 4 U2.”

But I what personally found, that though it does, but some times it might now work.

i like the new look too. somewhat easier to use.. well sometimes u need easy.
besides people are not taught to trust… its something we learn on the way. anyway i always enjoy reading ur posts.
